THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
AT SOME POINT, YOU HAVE TO STOP AND SAY, “GOD, I FIND REST IN YOU”.
In today’s world, most people are accustomed to constant activity: computers, cell phones, television, email, video games. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with these, the Bible advises us to pause and be still, focusing on knowing God, particularly during challenging times. When confronted with difficulties, it’s natural to seek out a friend or discuss it with a colleague. However, there comes a time when one must stop and declare, “God, I find rest in You. I trust that I am in Your care.”
It’s important to remember that our conflicts are spiritual battles. The issues we face are not caused by the people around us but by darker forces. By choosing to be still and recognizing the Greater One within, you position yourself in strength. Take time today to be still in His presence. Allow His peace to envelop you and His Spirit to rejuvenate you.
Keep in mind, the battles we encounter are the Lord’s. Remain still before Him to witness His victorious hand in every aspect of your life.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28, NIV
