WHAT WE THINK ABOUT, WE WILL BECOME

Do you need more JOY, VICTORY and CONFIDENCE in your life today? You might need to evaluate what you are THINKING about on a daily basis. If you go around thinking things like, “I’m just average,” “I’ve already reached my limits,” or “I’ve missed so many good opportunities,” those thoughts are going to drag you down. Instead, every morning when you wake up, start your day with thoughts of HOPE and SUCCESS. Determine to be VICTORY-MINDED. The Bible tells us that what we THINK about we will BECOME. When you think thoughts of SUCCESS, VICTORY, JOY and PEACE, your life will be filled with success, victory, joy and peace.

No matter what’s going on in the world AROUND you, remember, as a believer in Jesus, greater is He who is in YOU than he that is in the world. The Greater One lives INSIDE of you! If God is FOR you, who can be against you? You are an OVERCOMER through Christ. So set your mind on victory and move FORWARD into the ABUNDANT life He has for you!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

THE WAY WE TREAT OTHERS, IS THE WAY WE TREAT GOD

Did you know that the way you treat people has an impact on the effectiveness of your prayers? The Bible says that the prayer of the righteous person is POWERFUL, but if we aren’t treating others with HONOR, KINDNESS and RESPECT, then we aren’t allowing His righteousness to OPERATE in us. When we don’t treat others the way we SHOULD, it closes the door to God’s power and HINDERS our prayers.

This is especially true in a marriage relationship. Marriage isn’t just an agreement between two people to live life together. Marriage is a God-ordained INSTITUTION that helps us understand LOVE and UNITY. When two people are married, they become one PHYSICALLY, SPIRITUALLY and EMOTIONALLY. This particular passage is directed toward husbands, but it applies to ALL believers as well. We should all treat others “with UNDERSTANDING” which means considering the NEEDS of others ABOVE our own. We should always aim to treat others with KINDNESS, DIGNITY and RESPECT and quickly choose FORGIVENESS. The Bible says that the way we treat OTHERS is the way we treat God, so choose LOVE and treat others with RESPECT so that your prayers can be POWERFUL and EFFECTIVE the way God promises!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

GIVE GOD AN OFFERING OF THANKSGIVING EVERY DAY.

Did you know that having a life full of joy and fulfillment is a matter of CHOICE? Many people are not living in victory today because they have walked around with a CHIP on their shoulder. They are constantly complaining, always dwelling on what they DON’T have, or focusing on their PROBLEMS.

Let me encourage you to stay OUT of that trap. Wake up every morning and begin each new day by counting your BLESSINGS. Take time to make a LIST. Write down at least ten things that you are THANKFUL for. WHATEVER your situation in life, find things to add to the list.

Keep your list in a place where you can SEE it every day. When you feel yourself getting negative, when you’re beginning to get discouraged, check your LIST; read it out loud. Focus on all of the BLESSINGS that God has given you. Begin to thank Him for what He has ALREADY done for you and for all that He has in store for your FUTURE.

Give God an offering of thanksgiving EVERY day. As you begin to express your APPRECIATION and PRAISE to the Lord, you will begin to see Him pour out His BLESSINGS and FAVOR in greater portions, and you’ll experience the overcoming life of VICTORY He has in store for you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

IN ORDER TO SEE GOD’S BEST, WE MUST FIRST DEVELOPE AN “ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE”

Many people ask, “Why am I not receiving God’s BEST? My boss is mean, my house is old, and my spouse doesn’t treat me right. It doesn’t seem like my prayers are ever answered!” When people ask that, I usually encourage them to look at what they just said. Perhaps the answer lies in your ATTITUDE.

Have you ever considered that maybe the Lord is waiting for you to be thankful for what you HAVE before He will bless you with MORE?

The Word instructs us to pray with thanksgiving in EVERY circumstance. Develop an “attitude of GRATITUDE” and see what God will begin to do. He will take you places you’ve NEVER dreamed, and you’ll live the ABUNDANT life He has in store for you.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”
(Philippians 4:6, NLT)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

YOUR EXPECTATIONS SET THE LIMITS FOR YOUR LIFE

What are you EXPECTING in life—GOOD things? Bad things? Big things? Little things? ANYTHING at all? God wants you to get your hopes up! The Bible says, “FAITH is the substance of things HOPED for.” One definition of hope is confident EXPECTANCY. Did you know that you can’t even have faith if you don’t first have HOPE?

Your EXPECTATIONS set the LIMITS for your life. If you never expect anything good, you’re never going to RECEIVE anything good. If you don’t expect things to get BETTER, then nothing will GET better. God promises to meet you at YOUR level of expectancy. That’s why Jesus said in Matthew 9:29: “According to your faith be it done to you.” One translation simply says, “Have what your faith EXPECTS.”

Make the decision to EXPECT the favor of God in your life! Start expecting to overcome EVERY challenge you face! Start expecting God to meet ALL of your needs! Live every day of your life filled with anticipation that God is going to bless you EXCEEDINGLY, ABUNDANTLY above and BEYOND your WILDEST dreams!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR SITUATION BY CHANGING YOUR WORDS

I want to encourage you today to watch what you are saying. Your words have creative POWER, and you can use them as a destructive force or an instrument of BLESSING. If you continually speak NEGATIVE words over your life, then eventual defeat will be the RESULT. In the same way, if you speak words of FAITH and VICTORY, you will see a harvest of BLESSING not only in YOUR own life, but also in the lives of those AROUND you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

EACH DAY IS UNIQUE AND IRREPLACEABLE, A GIFT FROM HEAVEN ABOVE….

Sometimes, our days can be so full and busy that we forget how precious and fragile our time on earth really is. It can be so easy to allow LITTLE things to creep in and steal our PEACE and JOY. Maybe something didn’t go your way, or someone said something upsetting. Even traffic can cause us to get our focus off if we let it. But, we have to remember that each day is a GIFT. If we choose to focus on what’s wrong, we’ll miss out on the BEAUTY that each day has to offer.

I encourage you today; don’t let the precious moments of life pass you by. Don’t wait for holidays and birthdays to show people that you CARE. Remember, each day is UNIQUE and IRREPLACEABLE, a GIFT from heaven above. You have been given time that can be INVESTED OR wasted; hours that can be USED OR misused. That’s why the psalmist prayed to God, “Teach us to NUMBER our days.” He was saying, “Teach us to VALUE every moment we’ve been given so we can live a life PLEASING to You.”

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

CALL OUT THE SEEDS OF GREATNESS IN OTHERS AND STIR UP THE GIFT OF GOD INSIDE

Every word you speak MATTERS. Something you say may seem insignificant to YOU, but to someone else those words can be LIFE changing. When you use your words to LIFT someone’s spirit and speak words of VISION and LIFE over them, you are depositing seeds that will last throughout ETERNITY.

It’s especially important to speak vision into our CHILDREN. As a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher or friend, the children in your life need to hear on a regular basis that they can do something GREAT with their lives. As parents, our words carry INCREDIBLE weight. That’s why you should never put a child DOWN. Don’t ever say, “You’re slow, clumsy or dumb. Why can’t you make good grades like your sister? Why can’t you hit the baseball like your cousin?” Those words are SEEDS. They can take root and affect that child MANY years later. Too many people have been crippled by low EXPECTATIONS. But TODAY, all of that can change. Today, you can start to speak VISION over yourself and the PEOPLE in your life. Today, you can call out the seeds of GREATNESS in others and stir up the gift of God inside. Today, speak LIFE, speak HOPE and speak VISION!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

WHEN YOU FIX YOUR EYES ON THE UNSEEN, YOUR FAITH WILL NOT BE MOVED BY YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES

Every obstacle in your life is subject to CHANGE. It doesn’t matter what you may be facing, there IS an answer in the UNSEEN. The unseen is the SPIRITUAL realm where the PROMISES of God exist. Your FAITH brings those unseen things into this NATURAL realm. When you are FIXED on something, you can’t be moved. There’s a DETERMINATION that fuels your FOCUS. When you fix your eyes on the unseen—the PROMISES of God—your FAITH will not be moved by your circumstances, and you’ll eventually SEE those promises come to pass. Make the DECISION today to fix your eyes and mind on the PROMISES of God. MEDITATE on His promises until they become more real to you than the air you breathe. Declare that His promises WILL come to pass in your life. Declare that you have His FAVOR. Declare that you are MORE than a conqueror. Don’t allow fear and doubt to change what you are SPEAKING over your life. As you continue to FIX your spiritual eyes on the UNSEEN promises of God, you WILL SEE those things come to pass in the natural, and you will move forward into the ABUNDANT life the Lord has for you!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

SPEND YOUR TIME WITH PEOPLE OF VISION WHO ARE GOING PLACES IN LIFE

The QUALITY of life is often determined by the quality of our RELATIONSHIPS. Do you know that you will become LIKE the people you associate with? If you constantly spend your time around lazy and undisciplined people, then before long, you’re going to be lazy and undisciplined. But on the other hand, if you associate with SUCCESSFUL people, then you’re going to be successful. If you spend your time with people of VISION who are going places in life, you will be INSPIRED to go FURTHER than you would on your own.

Take time to examine your FRIENDSHIPS. Ask yourself, do I want to be LIKE this person? Do I like their QUALITIES? Do they INSPIRE me to reach for NEW heights? As you choose to be around WISE people, you will become wise and walk in the abundant life GOD has for you!
