“CAN DO” POWER TO DO WHAT YOU COULDN’T DO BEFORE

There are times when we suddenly feel a strong URGING in our spirit, telling us to FORGIVE someone, or to start a BUSINESS, or to get FREE from an ADDICTION. Suddenly, we know it’s TIME to get in SHAPE or push for a PROMOTION. Those are NOT just nice THOUGHTS; that’s GOD speaking to us. With that URGING, you’ll feel FAITH rising up, a “CAN DO” POWER to do what you COULDN’T do before.

But this is a window of GRACE that won’t stay open FOREVER. Too OFTEN we hear that still, small voice, but we put it OFF. The PROBLEM is, that window will CLOSE. Today’s Scripture is not just talking about SALVATION. When you hear His voice telling you to DO something, the reason it’s so STRONG is that He’s opening a window of GRACE. NOW is the time to obey–NOT tomorrow, not next WEEK. When you feel that FAITH, step INTO it. It’s a DESTINY moment when you’ll have a divine EMPOWERMENT that makes a WAY for you to come up HIGHER.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

GOD WON’T DISAPPOINT A GENUINE PRAISER…..

In today’s Scripture, Jeremiah prophesied that God would bring back the people of Judah and Israel from their captivity to the Babylonian conquerors. He was saying that when you THANK God and offer up a sacrifice of PRAISE even when you don’t see anything good HAPPENING, He is going to REVERSE negative situations and RESTORE what’s been STOLEN. When you don’t see how it can work out, but you go through the day saying, “Father, thank You that the answer IS on the way, thank You that this problem is turning AROUND,” get ready for God to bring a RESTORATION. He’s going to REVERSE finances that are down, reverse a bad HEALTH report, reverse a LEGAL matter, and He’s going to RESTORE what should have been YOURS. He’s going to restore YEARS that you’ve lost because somebody did you WRONG. He’s going to restore a RELATIONSHIP that’s on the rocks, restore HEALTH back to your BODY. It’s going to HAPPEN because of your PRAISE. God will NOT disappoint a genuine PRAISER.

They will sing, “Give thanks to the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, for the LORD is good. His faithful love endures forever!” For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says the LORD.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

GOD IS GOING TO EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS AND BRING YOU OUT BETTER THAN BEFORE!!

When King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah were surrounded by three major armies, they HUMBLED themselves and asked God to SAVE them. In answer, He MIRACULOUSLY gave them a mighty VICTORY, and they didn’t even have to FIGHT. They could have returned home thanking God for their DELIVERANCE, but our God EXCEEDS our expectations. He was saying, in effect, “Jehoshaphat, I’m not going to do only what you ASKED and spare your LIVES, but I’m going to make the enemy PAY. I’m going to bring you out INCREASED, PROMOTED, and STRONGER.” They marched toward those armies EMPTY-handed, and they came back LOADED DOWN with SUPPLIES.

You may have obstacles in YOUR path and challenges coming against you today in your HEALTH, your FINANCES, or a RELATIONSHIP. You’re asking God to turn it AROUND. Stay ENCOURAGED. God is not only going to bring you OUT, He’s going to have some SPOILS there. There’s going to be some PLUNDER. He’s going to bring you out BETTER than you were BEFORE. He’s going to EXCEED your expectations.

2 Chronicles 20:25, NLT

King Jehoshaphat and his men went out to gather the plunder. They found vast amounts of equipment, clothing, and other valuables–more than they could carry. There was so much plunder that it took them three days just to collect it all!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

GOD WANTS TO SATISFY AND BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY

Are you expecting to have a SUPERNATURAL year? Are you expecting INCREASE and ABUNDANCE? Notice this verse tells us that THE RIGHTEOUS, those who follow God’s commands, will be SATISFIED even in times of famine. Even when it looks like resources are slim, God has a plan to provide for His people. The scripture also tells us that God is looking for people who will be FAITHFUL to Him; people who will TRUST Him, people who will BELIEVE that He is the God of MORE than enough!

God always shows Himself strong on behalf of the people who seek Him FIRST-even during the most difficult times. No matter what you may be facing today, God wants to show Himself STRONG for you. He wants to MAKE a way where there seems to BE no way. He wants to SATISFY you and BLESS you ABUNDANTLY so that you can reach out and be a blessing to the people AROUND you. Take a step of faith today and begin to DECLARE His promises over your life. Declare that HE is the One who SATISFIES you all the days of your life.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

INVITE GOD INTO YOUR SITUATION AND EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE

When you face adversity, is your TYPICAL prayer, “God, get me OUT of this”? There’s nothing WRONG with that prayer, but before you get OUT, you have to invite God IN. Sometimes the MIRACLE is in what God wants to do IN the situation. Why don’t you start praying, “God, come INTO this hospital room, come into this troubled RELATIONSHIP, come into this ANXIETY”? More POWERFUL than God bringing you OUT is when He comes IN and gives you favor DESPITE who’s trying to push you down. He comes IN and gives you STRENGTH you can’t explain. He comes in and gives you the GRACE to OUTLAST the challenge.

In today’s Scripture, God says that although adversities are going to come, He will be with you IN them. Are you trying to get OUT of the fire God is going to take you THROUGH? Are you FIGHTING the fire, wondering WHY it happened? EVERYTHING will change if you start inviting God IN. He PROMISED He’ll be WITH you; maybe He’s just waiting for your INVITATION.

When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

GOD WHO IS RICH IN MERCY NEVER TURNED HIS BACK ON YOU

The wife of the prophet Hosea had abandoned him and their children and had been living with many men. Finally, her circumstances got SO bad that she was about to be sold as a SLAVE. Despite all the pain and humiliation she’d caused, after all the REJECTION and UNFAITHFULNESS, Hosea STILL had an undying LOVE for her when God spoke today’s Scripture to him. He went and found her beaten DOWN, dirty, and CLOTHES torn, and bought her BACK.

We’ve ALL been unfaithful and gone our own WAY, but God who is rich in MERCY didn’t turn His BACK on us. He came down to the MESSY places, to where we FAILED, and BOUGHT us back with the price of His own Son’s LIFE. Since God rescued YOU, will you be a Hosea and rescue somebody ELSE? There are HURTING people in messy PLACES all AROUND you, BROKEN people who think no one CARES. They’re NOT in your path by ACCIDENT. You can help LOVE them back into WHOLENESS with MERCY and GRACE.

Then the LORD said to me, “Go and love your wife again, even though she commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the LORD still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them.”

GET UP EVERY MORNING EXPECTING GOD TO SURPRISE YOU…..

David said he pitched HIS tent in the land of HOPE. Where have you pitched YOUR tent? “Well, I’ve had a LOT of disappointments.” “I’ll NEVER get well.” “I CAN’T accomplish my dreams.” The PROBLEM is where you’ve pitched your TENT. As long as you’re thinking of all the reasons why it’s NOT going to happen, that’s going to LIMIT you. Why don’t you pick UP your tent and move OUT of the land of doubt, negativity, and self-pity? Move out of the land of “It CAN’T happen. I’m TOO old. I NEVER get any good breaks.” Pitch your tent in the land of “With GOD all things are POSSIBLE,” the land of “GOODNESS and MERCY are chasing me down,” the land of “What was MEANT for my harm, God is turning to my ADVANTAGE.” You are just one good break away from God CATAPULTING you to a new LEVEL. Just one touch of God’s GOODNESS and you’ll BEAT the cancer or the addiction. Get up every morning EXPECTING God to SURPRISE you.

David said it all: I saw God before me for all time. Nothing can shake me; he’s right by my side. I’m glad from the inside out, ecstatic; I’ve pitched my tent in the land of hope.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

IF YOU STAY IN FAITH, EVERTHING WILL COME TOGETHER FOR YOUR GOOD…..

When you isolate a negative experience and FOCUS on it, it may not make sense. It’s like when you have a piece to a jigsaw puzzle that doesn’t LOOK like it fits anywhere. You’re SURE the manufacturer made a mistake. It’s an odd SHAPE, not the right COLOR, too BLURRY. It looks RANDOM, like it’s UNNECESSARY. But when the OTHER pieces come together, it makes SENSE. There will be a PERFECT fit where the colors match and the edges line up. Without IT, the puzzle wouldn’t be COMPLETE.

You may have a piece to your LIFE puzzle that doesn’t make sense. You COULD think, “GOD didn’t ordain this setback or LOSS. This piece doesn’t FIT.” But God isn’t FINISHED. NOTHING is random. That piece is INSTRUMENTAL in getting you to your DESTINY. If you stay in FAITH, all the pieces will come together for your GOOD–NOT just the good breaks and INCREASES, but even the LOSSES and DISAPPOINTMENTS. It will be a PERFECT fit when God brings it all together.

EVERY TIME YOU DO THE RIGHT THING, IT MAKES IT A LITTLE EASIER THE NEXT TIME

Jesus chose Peter to be one of His disciples even though he KNEW he was hot tempered, impatient, and would FAIL many times. He didn’t choose him because he was PERFECT; He chose him because He had the blueprint for Peter’s LIFE. The messes didn’t DISQUALIFY Peter; the messes simply meant he was still under CONSTRUCTION. He KNEW that Peter would become one of the most RESPECTED, INFLUENTIAL leaders.

We ALL have some messy areas we need to IMPROVE in. The POINT is to let God MAKE you and MOLD you. Stay PLIABLE. We should be better THIS year than we were LAST year. We should be making PROGRESS. Don’t let the mess become NORMAL. The hot temper, the addiction, the negative attitude–that’s NOT who you A.RE Keep GROWING, keep resisting that TEMPTATION, keep saying NO to those carnal desires. Every time you do the right THING, it makes it a little EASIER the NEXT time. There’s nothing wrong with being under CONSTRUCTION; there IS something wrong with not making any PROGRESS.

THE CHAIN BREAKER, THE MOST HIGH GOD, IS WORKING IN YOUR LIFE RIGHT NOW…..

Imagine what you could BECOME without the chains that are LIMITING you. What could you ACCOMPLISH without that chain of FEAR and INSECURITY? What kind of RELATIONSHIP could you have without that chain of GUILT, SHAME, and feeling WRONG about yourself? How HIGH could you go without that chain of negative WORDS that were spoken over you, telling you how you don’t measure UP and can never be SUCCESSFUL? It’s time to be FREED from those chains. Your DESTINY is too GREAT, your ASSIGNMENT too IMPORTANT to go around BOUND.

Quit telling yourself you’re stuck, you’ll ALWAYS struggle, you’ll always be LONELY, you’ll always fight DEPRESSION. The chain BREAKER, the Most High GOD, is working in your life right NOW. When you LEAST expect it, things are going to shift in your FAVOR. You are NOT going to be a slave to DEBT, FEAR, or an ADDICTION. He is releasing you into INCREASE, into FAVOR, and into NEW levels. Ask Him to set you FREE, and start living from a FREEDOM mind-set.
