WHEN GOD OPENS UP THE FLOODGATES…..

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

WHEN GOD OPENS UP THE FLOODGATES OF HIS DEVINE POWER, NOTHING CAN STOP IT

Sometimes on the news, the weatherperson will announce that we’re under a Flash Flood Warning. That means conditions are ripe for possible flooding. Water could get out of its normal boundaries. It could overflow and increase in such a way that drainage and creeks are overwhelmed. Just like that weatherperson, I’m here to announce that YOU are under a Flash Flood Warning today!

CONDITIONS are just right. You’ve HONORED God. You’ve been FAITHFUL. You’ve PASSED the test. Now GOD is saying, “There’s about to be a FLOOD of My GOODNESS, a flood of new OPPORTUNITY, a flood of HEALING, a flood of GOODNESS that breaks to where you are OVERWHELMED with My FAVOR. It’s BEYOND your expectations. It puts you into OVERFLOW.”

Today, GET READY! Get your expectancy UP. Be on the lookout for His GOODNESS because a flood of FAVOR is coming YOUR way. When GOD opens up the floodgates of His divine POWER, NOTHING can stop it!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

…He sends forth [rains], and they overwhelm the land or transform it.

Job 12:15, AMPC

BE THE BLESSING…..

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

LOOK FOR WAYS TO BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS

It’s easy to fall into the trap of strife when someone says something that irritates you, leading to tension and division. The Bible warns that strife opens the door to all KINDS of evil. It’s a tactic used to prevent people from living VICTORIOUSLY. However, you don’t have to SUCCUMB to strife; you can rise ABOVE it. As today’s verse suggests, you can let go of the issue BEFORE it escalates. You don’t NEED to argue or prove you’re right. Your purpose isn’t to CORRECT everyone around you.

To fulfill God’s CALLING, you must learn to stay ABOVE strife. Instead of letting disagreements tear your relationships APART, seek common GROUND to bring you closer TOGETHER. Pursue PEACE and look for ways to be a BLESSING. By staying ABOVE strife, you can enjoy your relationships and experience the BLESSINGS INTENDED for you.

Today’s Scripture:

“Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.”

Proverbs 17:14, NIV

THE PERFECT HIDING PLACE…..

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

GOD HAS THE PERFECT HIDING PLACE FOR YOU

Watching children play hide and seek is a delightful experience. They search for the best hiding spots in the house or yard and wait quietly for their friends to find them. It’s a fun game for kids, but even as adults, we sometimes need a place to hide. We need a refuge, a place of safety, and a place to rest when life feels overwhelming—a place where the enemy of our soul can never find us.

The good news is that God has the perfect hiding place for you! You don’t have to hide in your job, relationships, food, or addictions because God Himself promises to hide you. He offers you shelter from life’s storms anytime you call upon His name.

Remember, there’s only one place the enemy cannot find you. There’s only one place where opposition cannot steal from you. There’s only one true place of safety and rest for your soul, and that is in the arms of Jesus. Know that He loves you and is ready to receive you when you call upon His name!

Today’s Scripture:

“For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.”

(Psalm 27:5, NIV)

GOD IS JUST WAITING…..

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

RIGHT NOW, GOD IS JUST WAITING TO SHOW YOU THE GREATNESS OF HIS POWER…….

Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:19 that we would understand the exceeding greatness of God’s POWER for those who BELIEVE. Notice the power is only activated when we BELIEVE. That means right NOW the Creator of the universe is just WAITING to release HEALING, RESTORATION, FAVOR, PROMOTION, and ABUNDANCE. The only CATCH is that we have to BELIEVE.

Mary’s story is INDEED remarkable. As a teenager, she was visited by an angel who told her she would conceive a child WITHOUT knowing a MAN. Naturally, her initial reaction was one of disbelief, as it SEEMED impossible and against the laws of NATURE. She questioned the angel, asking, “How can this be?” The angel responded, “The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you and make it happen.” This moment highlights her FAITH and the extraordinary nature of her EXPERIENCE.

I love the way Mary RESPONDED. She didn’t argue with him. She didn’t try to talk herself OUT of it. She simply said, “Be it unto me EVEN as you have said.”

Has God placed a dream in YOUR heart that seems impossible? If you will choose to BELIEVE, then His strength will rise up in YOU. HIS ability will supersede YOUR ability, and the greatness of His POWER will bring to pass every DREAM and every DESIRE He has placed within you!

Today’s Scripture:

“…And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe…”

(Ephesians 1:19, NKJV)

GOD’S FAVOR CAN PROPEL YOU…….

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

GOD’S FAVOR CAN PROPEL YOU TO HEIGHTS YOU COULD NEVER REACH ALONE

Consider the possibility that the victories in your PAST were not solely your own ACHIEVEMENT. When you OVERCAME a tough period, when an unexpected OPPORTUNITY arose, when circumstances improved INEXPLICABLY, it was because you were favored by GOD. Your CURRENT position is a testament to God’s gracious INFLUENCE in your life.

Your level of EDUCATION, the INFLUENCE of your family, or your BACKGROUND do NOT define your POTENTIAL. God’s FAVOR can propel you to heights you could NEVER reach alone. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior bestows upon you an undeniable PRESENCE within. This presence, immeasurable and INDESCRIBABLE, is His Holy Spirit and favor illuminating your PATH. Others may not UNDERSTAND it, but they recognize you possess something SPECIAL—that’s the gracious hand of GOD.

Embrace this truth WHOLEHEARTEDLY today. Do NOT be disheartened by the VISIBLE; instead, take heart in the UNSEEN. Stand TALL, step forward with FAITH and ASSURANCE, knowing that HIS gracious hand GUIDES you.

Today’s Scripture:

For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them.

Psalm 44:3, NKJV

……YOU ARE NEARING VICTORY

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

AS THE INTENSITY HEATS UP, THIS SIGNIFIES THAT YOU ARE NEARING VICTORY

If you’ve been PRAYING and BELIEVING for something that’s taking LONGER than expected, remember that sometimes people miss out on the BEST because they give up too soon, before their due SEASON arrives. Stay ENCOURAGED; your answer may be closer than you THINK. When challenges INTENSIFY, it often means VICTORY is near. The DARKEST hour is just before DAWN.

We serve a FAITHFUL God who is working on your BEHALF, even if it’s not IMMEDIATELY apparent. MAINTAIN your confidence, as your reward IS on its way. Just as a mother forgets the pain of LABOR when she holds her CHILD, you will forget the STRUGGLE when you embrace your PROMISE. While waiting, keep a mindset of FAITH and EXPECTANCY. Declare each morning, “I’ve come too FAR to give up now. My due season IS approaching. I WILL reap my harvest.” Hold onto FAITH and ANTICIPATE His blessings, for He has promised VICTORY, and it may be CLOSER than you REALIZE.

Today’s Scripture:

“Do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.”

(Hebrews 10:35, NIV)

RELEASE THE PAST…..

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

RELEASE THE PAST AND THE FRUSTRATION OF TRYING TO UNDERSTAND EVERTHING

We all encounter disappointments, setbacks, and things that BAFFLE us. Perhaps you PRAYED for a loved one who didn’t recover, or you worked diligently for a PROMOTION that you didn’t receive. You may have had faith in a RELATIONSHIP that ultimately failed. One of the best ACTIONS is to let GO. RELEASE it and stop PONDERING over it. Dwelling on WHY things didn’t work out only leads to bitterness, resentment, and self-PITY. It can result in blaming others, yourself, or even GOD. The situation may be incomprehensible or seem UNFAIR, but RELEASING it is an act of FAITH. By DOING so, you’re declaring, “God, I trust in YOU. I know You are SOVEREIGN. And although it didn’t go as I HOPED, You PROMISED that ‘all things work together for GOOD.’ Therefore, I believe You STILL have good things planned for my FUTURE.”

There is POWER in releasing the past and the frustration of trying to UNDERSTAND everything. Letting go of your QUESTIONS means you’re entrusting control to GOD, affirming your TRUST in Him. It’s in placing your hope in GOD that He can mend your HEART and guide you towards TRIUMPH and your true DESTINY.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.

Philippians 3:13, KJV

……IN ALL THAT YOU DO

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

HONOR GOD WITH 100% EFFORT IN ALL THAT YOU DO

When you give your ALL, putting in 100% effort and doing it to the best of your ability to honor GOD, you will receive His BLESSINGS. This means tasks will become EASIER, OUTCOMES will improve, and you’ll ACHIEVE more. That’s why we should always do our BEST, even in the SMALLEST tasks. For instance, when washing dishes or mowing the LAWN, don’t be sullen and frustrated. Mow with ENTHUSIASM, as if on a divine MISSION! With each step, be THANKFUL for your working LEGS. Be GRATEFUL for your HEALTH and STRENGTH. In the workplace, don’t SETTLE for the minimum. Remember, you’re not just working for PEOPLE; you’re working for GOD. Put your whole HEART into it. When volunteering at CHURCH, don’t regret your commitment or long for extra SLEEP. Instead, serve WHOLEHEARTEDLY, for that honors GOD. And when you HONOR God, He honors YOU, granting His life, peace, health, and blessings, now AND forevermore.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might…

Ecclesiastes 9:10, NIV

…BELIEVE AND BE THANKFUL…..

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

GOD HAS ALREADY DONE HIS PART, NOW, BELIEVE, AND BE THANKFUL….

Throughout the Bible, numerous PROMISES highlight what God has ALREADY accomplished for us. Ephesians declares, “God has BLESSED us with every spiritual blessing,” while Colossians affirms, “God has made us WORTHY.” MERCY is available for EVERY mistake we might make; it has ALREADY been addressed. The ultimate SACRIFICE was made through the death, burial, and resurrection of His SON, Jesus. God has FULFILLED His role; now, it’s our turn to do OURS. We must BELIEVE in order to RECEIVE.

Naturally, when you receive a GIFT, your initial response is to say, “Thank you.” Expressing gratitude signifies ACCEPTANCE of the gift. So today, ACCEPT what God has provided by saying, “Father, THANK You for Your MERCY. Thank You for meeting all my NEEDS. Thank You for Your GOODNESS in my life.”

By giving THANKS, you learn to RECEIVE from Him. Open your heart in FAITH today and express GRATITUDE for the BLESSINGS He has prepared for you.

Today’s Scripture:

“If you believe, you will receive…”

Matthew 21:22, NIV

…..WHERE GOD HAS PUT A PERIOD……..

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

DO NOT PLACE A QUESTION MARK WHERE GOD HAS PUT A PERIOD

In life, we all experience a PRUNING process. God prunes our lives so we can bear more FRUIT. To “PRUNE” means to cut away or REMOVE something. For instance, a trusted FRIEND may move to another city, a BUSINESS you’re connected to may close, or a RELATIONSHIP may take a different TURN.

Friend, God knows what you NEED to grow and flourish. When incomprehensible events occur, we must TRUST that He is working behind the scenes, preparing us for INCREASE, readying us for a NEW level. Don’t question His definitive DECISIONS.

During transitions, RESIST bitterness. Don’t feel DEFEATED or view yourself as a failure. EMBRACE the mindset, “God, I RELEASE this, knowing it was temporary, and what lies AHEAD will SURPASS what I’ve released.” If you embrace CHANGE and keep FAITH, God will unveil NEW doors, OPPORTUNITIES, FRIENDSHIPS, and ELEVATE you to new HEIGHTS of His glory.

Today’s Scripture:

He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

John 15:2, NIV
