HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL MOTHERS, ON THIS, YOUR SPECIAL DAY TODAY

Mother’s day is a SPECIAL day we set aside to let our moms know how much they mean to us. On this special day, be sure to tell YOUR mom how much you love HER and how much you APPRECIATE all she has done for you. PRAISE her for her dedication to her family and for her tireless efforts on YOUR behalf.

If you are not sure what to say, let GOD’s Word inspire you: “Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her. There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” (Proverbs 31:28-29)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

DON’T USE YOUR WORDS TO ‘TALK’ ABOUT YOUR SITUATION; USE YOUR WORDS TO ‘CHANGE IT’

One thing I’ve learned is that God calls the things that are not as if they ALREADY ARE. He doesn’t call you what you are; He calls you the way HE sees you. That’s because He creates with His words, and you do, TOO.

The first time I stepped up to the podium in front of a large audience to make a speech, I was afraid. I felt unqualified, inexperienced, and intimidated. The whole time, on the inside, I could hear that still, small voice saying, ‘Mark, you are well ABLE. You can do ALL things. You HAVE what it takes. You are STRONG in the Lord.’ God was calling me something that I was NOT. I was not strong and bold and confident. I was weak, insecure, and intimidated. Somehow, I had the FAITH to believe what GOD said about me. And it didn’t happen overnight, but little by little, I BECAME what God called me and I actually discovered that I LIKED public speaking AND, I was GOOD at it!

Today, follow His example and call things that are not as though they ARE. Look through your eyes of FAITH and call it like YOU see it. Don’t use your words to TALK about your situation; use your words to CHANGE your situation. Keep speaking words of FAITH, keep PRAYING, keep BELIEVING and keep moving FORWARD into the bright future He has for YOU!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

WE CREATE ‘OUR’ WORLD, WITH OUR WORDS

Scripture tells us that there is creative POWER in the words we DECLARE. In the same way that God created the world with HIS words in Genesis 1, WE “create” our own world with OUR words. We can create an atmosphere of PEACE, JOY, POWER and LOVE with our words, or we can create an atmosphere of strife, confusion and defeat.

Today, I encourage YOU to use your words to open the door for God to MOVE by declaring His Word over YOUR life. Declare that His strength IS at work in you. Declare that NO weapon formed against you is going to prosper. As you declare God’s WORD over your life, you’ll see it come to pass. You’ll feel His STRENGTH, JOY and VICTORY rising up inside of you so that you can embrace the life of BLESSING He has prepared for you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

TURN THE PAGE AND SEE THE BLESSING GOD HAS IN STORE FOR YOUR LIFE

Did you know that God has already written out the story of your life? He’s written out plans for your GOOD, plans to PROSPER you, plans for PEACE. That doesn’t mean that you won’t go through negative situations. It means that God will use everything you go through to move you forward TOWARD that good plan.

When things happen that we don’t understand, it’s easy to think, “Why did this happen? Why did this friend betray me? Why did this company lay me off? Why didn’t I get that promotion?” You can’t let the things you don’t understand keep you stuck on the same page in the story of your life. You have to DECIDE to TURN the page so that you can see the VICTORY waiting for you in the NEXT chapter.

If you are facing a difficulty today, know that God’s plan is to turn it around and use it for your GOOD. The story of your life is NOT over! Keep moving FORWARD, keep BELIEVING, keep HOPING, keep FORGIVING because your days are written out for GOOD, and it’s time to TURN THE PAGE and see the BLESSING HE has in store for your life!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

USE YOUR WORDS TO CHANGE YOUR SITUTATION

Are you ready to see something NEW in your life? The question is what have you been DECLARING? Are you declaring what you see in your CIRCUMSTANCES? Are you declaring your WORRIES and FRUSTRATIONS to others, or are you declaring God’s GOODNESS and PROMISES over your life?

Scripture tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. That means we set our future according to what we choose to SAY. If you need to see change in your circumstances, then start by changing your WORDS. Don’t use your words to DESCRIBE your situation; use your words to CHANGE your situation. Start declaring NEW things in order to start SEEING new things! Declare BLESSING, declare PEACE, declare WHOLENESS—declare His WORD and watch Him shape YOUR FUTURE and lead you into the wonderful NEW THINGS He has prepared for you!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUERER TODAY AND EVERY DAY BECAUSE HE IS STRONG IN YOU

Sometimes, people get DISTRACTED by what they consider to be a DISADVANTAGE or WEAKNESS in their lives. It may be something about their personality or looks that they don’t like. Or, maybe they’ve been through an unfair situation: a divorce, a bad business deal or a bad break. We ALL have things that can feel like disadvantages; things that make it HARDER on us. It may even be a PHYSICAL handicap, and you can’t get around like you used to. But just because you have a “disadvantage,” just because you’ve been through a tough time doesn’t mean you’re supposed to sit back and settle where you ARE. God still has something GREAT for you to do! He wants to show Himself STRONG in and THROUGH you, and He’s given you His Holy Spirit to EQUIP you in this life.

Today let the Holy Spirit HELP you when you feel weak. Let Him EMPOWER you with TRUTH that will set you FREE. Stay in faith and don’t get negative toward yourself OR your future. Let God take what you think is a liability and turn it into an ASSET! Let Him take what you think is a disadvantage and turn it around to be an ADVANTAGE! Remember, you are MORE than a conqueror today and EVERY day because HE is strong IN you!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

START SAYING WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT YOUR SITUATION…

Do you need a MIRACLE in your life for something that seems impossible? With man it may BE, but we serve the ALL-powerful God, and He can create something out of NOTHING! He can MAKE a way when there seems to BE no way and OPEN DOORS that seemed closed forever!

Genesis tells us that in the beginning, God created the heavens and earth, but before He spoke the world into existence, it was formless and void. If God can make the world out of nothing, He can take the empty places in your life and create something beautiful, TOO! He can speak LIGHT into your darkest hour. He can take your formless DREAMS and give them shape. He can resurrect your dormant GIFTS and TALENTS! He can make your crooked places STRAIGHT!

Remember, you are created in the image of Almighty God. There’s POWER in YOUR words, and there’s power when you’re in agreement with HIM. Start saying what GOD says about your situation. Speak LIFE to your broken dreams today. Speak HOPE into the hopeless places. Keep an attitude of FAITH and EXPECTANCY because He will turn things around for you and create SOMETHING out of NOTHING!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

TODAY, STIR UP YOUR OWN INNER STRENGTH AND ENCOURAGEMENT

It’s good to have friends and family around to cheer you up when you’re down, but in order to TRULY live in victory, that encouragement has to come from the INSIDE. When your mind is telling you it’s not worth it, when your circumstances seem difficult, deep down inside, your spirit has to have the resolve that says, “I REFUSE to settle where I am.” That’s what David had to do. He was facing a major setback. His family was killed, his city was destroyed, and his own people were now against him, but he still managed to encourage HIMSELF in the Lord. How did he do that? He replayed in his mind the VICTORIES from the past. He recounted God’s FAITHFULNESS. As he rehearsed over and over the GOODNESS of God, STRENGTH began to rise in his heart.

There are so many places you can see the hand of God at work. Thank Him for SAVING you today. Thank Him for the miracle of LIFE. Thank Him for His FAITHFULNESS. FOCUS on the fact that God did NOT bring you THIS far to leave you now. Stir up that inner STRENGTH and ENCOURAGEMENT. As you do, you’ll rise higher and higher and live the life of victory the Lord PREPARED for you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

GOD’S TRUTH SETS US FREE AND CAUSES OUR FAITH TO GROW

Scripture tells us that every person has been given a measure of FAITH. Faith can grow and INCREASE, or it can be diminished. Notice today’s scripture doesn’t say, “Faith comes by having heard the Word of God one time.” It’s by HEARING—present tense. Sure, God’s Word can transform us in an instant. But most of the time, we need to hear God’s truth over and OVER AGAIN in order for it to become ACTIVE in our lives. The more we hear the Word, the more His truth chisels away at the doubt and unbelief that’s been built up over the years. His truth sets us FREE and causes our faith to GROW!

Just as a seed needs water DAILY to grow, your spirit needs the Word of GOD daily. Your faith needs to be WATERED by His Word. It can be as simple as selecting a few scriptures to MEDITATE on daily. Write them down and carry them in your purse or wallet. Read them out loud OVER AND OVER. Let His truth sink down into your HEART and move you forward into the FREEDOM and VICTORY He has prepared for you!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

WHEN YOU CALL THE LORDS NAME, YOU ARE CALLING ON EVERYTHING HE REPRESENTS

Something SUPERNATURAL happens on the inside of you when you call on the name of the Lord. First of all, the Bible tells us that God actually makes His home in your HEART by the Holy Spirit. Not only that, but when you call on His name, you are calling on EVERYTHING He represents—life, peace, strength, hope, joy, healing, deliverance, forgiveness and so much MORE! It’s like receiving the KEY to a mansion filled with treasures—and it’s all YOURS! You can SEE that key in your hand; you can tell other PEOPLE about it; you can KNOW that you have access anytime you WANT, but you STILL have to take a step and USE the key to open the door before you can partake of the BLESSINGS inside. And you probably wouldn’t just peak in the door or visit once a week; NO, move right in! Make the DECISION today to move into God’s abundant blessings by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus. Call on His name and move right in to His provision, His joy, His peace, His love. You have the KEY, so receive the abundant LIFE He has prepared for you TODAY!
