THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

NOW MORE THAN EVER, IT’S HIGH TIME YOU GET FOCUSED AND START MOVING FORWARD

So many people today are living overwhelmed, exhausted and overburdened by the pressures of life. They’ve allowed themselves to live on autopilot, day in and day out, passive toward the things God has placed in their hearts.

If that’s YOU, now is the time to get your fire back! Let me encourage you to press past the things that would try to hold you back. God is saying, “It’s HIGH TIME to wake up.” Notice that phrasing. Not just time but HIGH time. That means it’s incredibly IMPORTANT because you are coming into a DESTINY moment! You are sitting on the launching pad. God is about to THRUST you to a NEW level! Now is not the time to be passive, sloppy or undisciplined. Now more than ever, it’s time to get FOCUSED and start moving forward!

Why is this so important? Just like the verse says, your SALVATION is nearer than it’s ever been. That means you are closer to seeing that DREAM come to pass than you’ve EVER been. You are closer to meeting the right PERSON, closer to that HEALING, closer to that BREAKTHROUGH, PROMOTION and PROVISION. You may not be able to see it, but it can see YOU! Your VICTORY is right around the corner. It’s HIGH TIME to do what God is asking you to do so you can embrace the BLESSING He has for you!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

PRESS PAST THE SMALL THINGS AND RUN TOWARD YOUR DESTINY

Are you allowing the small things in life to keep you from God’s best? Today is the day to press past the small things and run toward your DESTINY! Unforgiveness is a small thing. FORGIVE and move on to the GREATER thing. Fear is small. It’s NOT from God. Don’t let it hold you back. An addiction is small. You have the power to overcome ANYTHING through Christ Jesus. Being undisciplined is small. If you are a BELIEVER today, you have the seed of Almighty God inside of you. There is NO challenge that’s too difficult for you!

I think about Joshua and Caleb. When they came back from spying out the Promised Land they said, “Moses, we are well ABLE to take the land. Let us go in at once.” Not next week. Not next year. They were “NOW” people. But if you over-analyze your situation and think about all the “what if’s” and try to get approval from all your family and friends, you’ll never move off of dead center. You’ll be stuck in the small things.

Today, make the DECISION to press forward. Be like Joshua and Caleb. Don’t look at your circumstances; look at your GOD because He is the one who is EMPOWERING you to take hold of the GOOD things He has for your FUTURE!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

WHEN WE’RE FAITHFUL WITH THE LITTLE, GOD WILL MAKE US RULER OVER MUCH

Oftentimes, it’s not big things that hold us back; it’s small things — especially in your FINANCES. A few dollars a day on coffee quickly turns into HUNDREDS. Too many credit cards become overwhelming to keep up with. That person who hasn’t balanced their checkbook in two years probably hears a little voice every time they go to write a check, “Get your finances in order.” We have to realize that if we’re not FAITHFUL with what we have, God won’t ENTRUST us with more. One lady told me how she hadn’t balanced her checkbook in so long she just closed the account and opened up a brand new one. At least she took ACTION!

People say all the time, “I’m going to start giving. I’m going to start tithing my income as soon as I make more money.” No, don’t wait until you have $1,000. Tithe on the $10 you have right now. Don’t let the little foxes spoil your FINANCES. Don’t let another day go by without obeying God. When you set your finances in order, when you put God FIRST in all you do, you are opening the door for His BLESSING. He says when we are FAITHFUL with the little, God will make us RULER over much!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

PEACE IS YOUR POSITION OF POWER, SO DON’T LOSE IT

Every day, we have OPPORTUNITIES to get upset, be frustrated, or get offended. Maybe you had plans that didn’t work out, or someone was rude to you at the office. Maybe you were doing something that should have taken one hour and it ended up taking three. Life is full of INCONVENIENCES, but even though we can’t always control our CIRCUMSTANCES, we CAN control our REACTION. I heard somebody say, “Life is 10##LT##span class=”text_exposed_show”##GT< WHAT happens to you and 90% how you RESPOND.”

We should always go out each day with a positive ATTITUDE, full of HOPE and expecting God’s FAVOR. But at the same time, we should recognize that most days are not going to go exactly as WE plan. Remember, we were created to live in PEACE. Peace is our position of POWER. If you get stressed because you got off schedule or upset because your child wouldn’t eat his breakfast, or frustrated because somebody offended you, what you’re doing is giving away your POWER. Instead, make the DECISION to release those offenses and disappointments so you can live in PEACE and ENJOY the day as the BLESSING God prepared for you!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

DON’T DELAY, DO WHAT YOU KNOW IS RIGHT, TODAY

Isn’t it interesting how EASY it is to put things off? We plan on doing something. We have good intentions. We just plan to do it later. “One day I’m going to start EXERCISING. One day I’m going to get my FINANCES in order. One day I’m going to FORGIVE that person who hurt me.” The problem with this kind of thinking is that “one day” NEVER comes. There will always be some reason to keep delaying it.

Is there something in your heart that you know you need to do? Maybe God has been dealing with you, and you keep putting it off. You think, “As soon as I get through this busy season, then I’ll spend more time with my FAMILY. As soon as the price of gas goes down, then I’ll start TITHING my income. As soon as my child gets out of diapers, then I’m going to get my family back in church.” But friend, good INTENTIONS don’t equal OBEDIENCE. The QUICKER you do what you feel down in your spirit, the HAPPIER you’re going to be. Don’t let unfinished business keep you from God’s best. STEP OUT. OBEY His voice and walk in the BLESSING He has for you!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

AS A BELIEVER, YOU HAVE POWER IN YOUR WORDS

What do you do when the storms of life seem to be raging against you? One time Jesus was with His disciples in a boat out on the water when they encountered a great storm. The disciples were very afraid but Jesus, on the other hand, was fast asleep. When the disciples woke Him up to see if He could help them, Jesus got up and simply spoke to the storm, “Peace! Be still.” And the seas were calm again.

When difficult times come, you don’t have to be overwhelmed by the waves of worry or fear. Just as Jesus stood up and spoke to the storm, YOU have power in YOUR words, TOO. As a BELIEVER, the Bible tells us that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you. That means God’s miracle-working POWER is on the inside of YOU. He’s given you His AUTHORITY to declare PEACE over your HOME, over your MIND, and over your FAMILY. Remember, no matter what storms may come against you, the GREATER One lives on the inside of you, and He’ll EMPOWER you to live in VICTORY in EVERY area of your life!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

TRUE LASTING COMFORT CAN ONLY BE FOUND WITH JESUS…..

Oftentimes, when people face challenges, they seek COMFORT by surrounding themselves with things that are familiar. It may be work, a sport or hobby; it may be relationships; or of course, we all know about comfort food. But those things are only TEMPORARY, and they can only bring temporary COMFORT. True, lasting comfort IS available, and it’s ONLY found in a personal relationship with God, the Father through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

According to Webster’s dictionary, COMFORT means to give strength and hope; to ease grief or trouble. No matter what difficulty you may be facing today, God wants to bring YOU comfort. Like a mother cares for her child, He longs to give you STRENGTH, HOPE and CONFIDENCE. Make the DECISION to put Him first in EVERY area of your life. Let go of those things you KNOW are holding you back. Let Him be Lord over ALL! As you surrender to His grace, you will be filled with His PEACE and JOY. You’ll be empowered to overcome EVERY obstacle, and you will live in VICTORY all the days of your life.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

 

WITH GOD, YOU’LL GO PLACES THAT YOU’VE NEVER DREAMED POSSIBLE

Are you BELIEVING God for something today that seems impossible? We serve a great and mighty God, and He can create SOMETHING out of nothing! He can make a way where there seems to be NO way! He can create whatever is needed in your life.

Genesis tells us that in the beginning, God created the heavens and earth. But before He spoke the world into existence, it was formless and empty. If God can make the world out of nothing, He can take the empty places in YOUR life and create something BEAUTIFUL, too! He can speak LIGHT into your darkest hour. He can take your formless DREAMS and give them shape. He can RESURRECT your dormant GIFTS and TALENTS! He can make your crooked places STRAIGHT!

Remember, you are created in the image of Almighty God. There’s POWER in your words and power when you’re in AGREEMENT with Him. Only say what GOD says about your situation. Speak life to your broken dreams TODAY. Stay in an attitude of FAITH and EXPECTANCY, and as you do, God will take you places that you’ve NEVER dreamed. He’ll make something beautiful out of EVERY broken place in your life!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

BELIEVE GOD’S PROMISES BY FAITH, AND WHATEVER YOU ASK FOR IN PRAYER WILL BE YOURS

Has God spoken things to your heart that haven’t come to pass yet? Anytime you step out to BELIEVE God, the enemy will try to distract and discourage you in order to get you off course. But when you RECEIVE that promise by FAITH, when you hold it in your heart, when you PICTURE it in your mind and DECLARE it with your words, you begin to feel more CONFIDENT. You feel EMPOWERED and SETTLED in your heart. You begin to have JOY and PEACE because you know God is working behind the scenes on your behalf.

I encourage you today, GRAB HOLD of the promises of God and DON’T LET GO! Can you see it in your MIND’S eye? Can you see yourself HEALED? Can you see yourself PAYING off that last debt? Can you see yourself at your ideal WEIGHT? Can you see yourself SHARING THE GOSPEL with a family member or coworker? Ask the Lord to give you a VISION for your future. Open your heart and allow HIS thoughts to become YOUR thoughts. Receive His promises by FAITH, and just like it says in today’s verse—WHATEVER YOU ASK FOR in prayer will be yours!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

KNOW THIS: NO MATTER WHAT, GOD WANTS TO MAKE YOU NEW. HE’LL GIVE YOU A FRESH START…..

When God puts a DREAM or a PROMISE on the inside of you, He deposits within you EVERYTHING you need to accomplish it. He wouldn’t give you the desire to do something without giving you the ABILITY to fulfill it. In fact, the scripture tells us that GOD gives us the desires of our heart. In other words, HE puts the desire inside of us and then works WITH us to bring it to pass.

Oftentimes, people set out to accomplish their DREAMS, but they face a setback or disappointment, and then they feel like their time has passed. But know this: no matter WHERE you’ve come from, no matter WHAT’S happened in your past, God wants to make you NEW. He wants to give you a FRESH START. If you feel like you’ve missed OPPORTUNITIES in your life, if you feel like your time has passed, remember, today is a NEW day. You are a NEW person, and God has NEW OPPORTUNITIES in store for you!
